I visited during the kulturfestivsl and it was free.
The building and the exhibitions are absolutely of highest quality. You can not miss this museum if you are interested in modern Nordic design. Right now there is a totally cool Nordic fashion design and even the chair expo. Both are totally worth visiting.
At the time of visiting it, the first floor is under renovation.
The museum intends to showcase the evolution of design in Sweden but fails to do so, as an important space is dedicated to pieces from Japan and far East, and the richness of the Scandinavian design is loss.
One interesting part is the exhibition of 500 chairs, and its evolution from baroque to contemporary craft.
Hopefully the missing parts of “design” will be showcased in the first floor under renovation.
Very small but interesting museum. The Asian culture inspiration section and the silver piece section were marvellous.
